“ So there’s a group on Facebook called the Dayton foodies group… I see Carmichael’s pub referenced all the time for one of the best burgers and wings In Dayton. I finally got the opportunity to try it today. Let me start off by saying nothing was bad. My wife ordered the cowboy burger with hand, cut fries. I had 10 of the hot garlic wings. Like I said, the burger wasn’t bad but for people to rave about it like it’s one of the best in Dayton I thought was a huge oversell… The hand cut fries I did enjoy sometimes those can be tough at almost any restaurant where occasionally you’ll get soggy ones, but these overall we’re fairly crispy. I can tell the wings were made with fresh chicken, which was a huge plus for me. I consider myself a wing connoisseur. I really enjoyed the hot garlic sauce. I thought it was top-tier. I wouldn’t say they’re the best wings in Dayton, but they are definitely far better than average bar wings! Ultimately, what was disappointing was the service I asked the waitress for water several times, We also waited over an hour and a half for our food, There was little to no communication about the wait. At the end of the day, I think my expectation was just too high in the price that I paid reflected what my expectations were compared to what I actually received. I’d be willing to come back and give it another chance ”

“ This place is great! I had a southwest burger and hand cut house made fries instead of the crinkle cut frozen fries. When I placed my food order, the waitress prevented me from accidentally creating a burger that had the potential of being too big to bite into. I guess if I had it they way I was going to order it, it would been like, no joke, 12 inches high because they have 1/3 lb burger patties that you can make "sissy-sized" which is basically smashed to a thinner size for $1.50 less. Super chill and comfortable place. Also I almost forgot..don't sleep on the Polynesian Poppers..they were also super delicious! Get them as an app or after a few beers. Pros: Class act staff, great environment. They have open mic nights as well. Great service from the servers and bartenders. Oh and they have games and dart boards and billiards in the adjacent room. Awesome food, I recommend getting the pork tenderloin too! My brother and cousin order it every time. I was more interested in the burgers because earlier in the day I ate a pulled pork sandwich and just wanted something different but I tried a bite and it was tasty! Cons: Small parking lot so come early or be prepared to park in the neighborhood. Small bathrooms. But hey, what do you expect from a local pub? I will def be coming back next time I come to Dayton. My cousin's house is a hop and a skip from this joint. ”
